a life-long communicator, i offer folks who are "stuck" a safe and sacred place to be honest and unjudged - to get "unstuck" and reflect on who they are. and who they choose to "be". i also offer a wicked sense of humor to the mix which aids the learning process and defuses the worst of times.
specializing in adult children and spouses of those who are preparing to die, i help those folks define their "role" - OTHER than caregiver - people tend to die the same way they've lived, so are you putting expectations on yourself to change who YOU are at this time when you are needed to just BE who you are? chances are the person leaving us would want/need you to continue BEING the adult son or daughter, the husband or wife, etc. - the role everyone knows. this is a final journey for someone you love and it CAN be peaceful and loving, even though sad. hurt, resentment and guilt are not qualities one wants when left standing alone graveside.
very active in theatre, i work with those in the arts - or those who have an affinity for them (audience, board, donors, etc.) - to help them reflect and be - get "unstuck", find clarity and balance. |
